twibble, twitter meets GPS

Surfing around on Nokia’s Nseries site I discovered something really interessting.

twibble - this is the first time I see something useful in the twitter service. With twibble you’re able to combine the idea of twitter to send sort messages to your friends and your location data. So twibble answers not only the question what you’re doing, but also where you are.

twibble uses the internal GPS of the Nokia N95 (and maybe of the Siemens SX75) or another device supporting J2ME’s Location API and sends the position to twittervision and twittermaps. Other devices use the city name for the positioning.

twibble enables location-based micro-blogging.

    Danke für den Hinweis Jürgen, ich möchte aber auf dieser Seite nur Dinge veröffentlichen die wirklich mobil nutzbar sind.

    Ich möchte die Gelegenheit auch gleich nutzen um mich für die lange Pause zu entschuldigen. Im Moment bin ich aber damit beschäftigt meine Diplomarbeit abzuschließen und habe deshalb keinen Kopf hier was zu posten.
