Man stelle sich folgendes Szenario vor: Ich bin auf einem coolen Event und möchte meine Freunde daran teilhaben lassen. Alles was ich mithabe, ist meine Brieftasche, meine Schlüssel und natürlich das Handy.

Letzteres kann mit Hilfe von Qik dazu genutzt werden, den Event live zu streamen. Der Stream kann entweder auf der persönlichen Seite auf Qik angesehen werden oder natürlich auch in die eigene Seite eingebaut werden.

Der Dienst ist derzeit noch in Alpha, funktioniert aber bereits ausgezeichnet! Man sollte dabei jedoch beachten, dass durch das streamen von Video große Datenmengen übertragen werden, was zu hohen Kosten führen kann. Datentarif also schwer zu empfehlen!

kyte.tv bietet einen ähnlichen Dienst und bietet derzeit mehr Funktionen.

Das Korea beim Mobilfunk teilweise einige Zeit voraus ist, dürfte für Marktbeobachter keine Neuigkeit sein. Beim Mobilen Fernsehen fällt der Unterschied recht deutlich aus.

Zum Fernsehen muss man nicht zuhause bleiben: In Korea hat das Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) den Massenmarkt erreicht: Mehr als acht Millionen User nutzen mittlerweile den mobilen TV-Spaß. Bis August 2007 haben rund 6,76 Millionen Koreaner ein DMB-fähiges Handy und ein Empfangsgerät für terrestrisches DMB (T-DMB) erstanden. Und 1,25 Millionen Nutzer haben sich für den kostenpflichtigen Service des Satelliten-DMB (S-DMB) angemeldet.

Erst vor kurzem habe ich Sling vorgestellt und dabei angemerkt, dass die Software für Symbian erst beim Mobilfunker “3″ vorinstalliert verfügbar ist. Jetzt lese ich auf CrunchGear das Sling die Veröffentlichung des Symbian-Players bekannt gegeben hat.

Mit Sling kommt das Heimkino aufs Handydisplay.
Mit Sling wird es möglich das Fernsehprogramm des heimischen Satelliten oder Kabelanschlusses oder vom DVD-Player auf das Handydisplay zu zaubern. Klingt ziemlich unglaublich, wird aber mithilfe der Slingbox möglich.

Die Slingbox ist ein Gerät welches das Bildmaterial über den Internetanschluss streamt und so von verschiedenen Geräten mit spezieller Software empfangen werden kann. Interessant ist, dass es dafür auch einen Client für Windows Mobile, Palm OS und Symbian gibt. Die Symbian-Software ist allerdings nur auf einigen Geräten vorinstalliert verfügbar (Mir ist nur die X-Series von 3 bekannt).

Da ich diesen Tarif und die Box nicht habe, konnte ich es leider nichts selbst testen, sieht aber sehr interessant aus. Bleibt nur abzuwarten wie sich diese Lösung behaupten kann wenn erstmals mobiles Fernsehen zum Standard wird.

From my point of view mojax is a great project, which is in private beta at the moment, but really has the potential to become a interesting counterpart to Flash Lite. I’m looking forward to see how this project evolves. Maybe I find time to try it out by myself.
