Unfortunately this site isn’t compliant at all, what a shame!

emoze - free push email

emoze service

Nobody will deny that email is one of the most important communication technologies beside the mobile phone for business.
Push email isn’t nothing really new but a free push email service which sends your outlook data to your mobile is something I find really interesting.

emoze provides a service which synchronizes your emails, calendar and contacts as long as your PC is online or also from your OWA.
emoze is a nice service for small companies or other people without the possibility of another push mail service to access mails mobile with push technologies.

Motivation for Mobile 2.0 from a marketer

Apr 11, 2007 in market, notifications

During the research for my thesis I found a blog-entry from Paul Buchhorn at marketing-blog.biz.

The date he wrote this entry was about the time I started writing my proposal for university and I have the same expectations about the future of mobile communication as Mr. Buchhorn has.

He expects a market of 13 billion Dollar in the year 2011, supported by the trend for a second device.

This trend was one of the main intension to write about this thesis and start this blog!

p.s.: Unfortunately the mentioned blog is written in German!

Mobio - Mobile lifestyle applications

Apr 11, 2007 in lifestyle, software, widgets

The Mobio service

It seems to become quite common to create widgets for the mobile phone. Where does so (I will introduce this product later) and now another company starts with widgets for the mobile market.

Mobio makes mobile lifestyle applications, is written as first sentence on the companies about site. This sounds great and let us expect nice widgets.

Due the fact that I’m Austrian and therefore use an Austrian carrier I wasn’t able to test the application, so I have to trust this paragraph:

A special feature of the GetMobio lifestyle portal is something we call mobile collections. Each collection represents something you like to do while you are out and about, like “Stepping Out” or “Outwitting the Kids”. Use the collections we give you “as is” or create your own here on the web, using our dead simple self-publishing tools. The GetMobio service is available for no additional fee and works on most makes and model of popular model phones include the Motorola RAZR V3 and Samsung BLADE. Suddenly your mobile phone isn’t just for talking and for texting. It’s for living.

This really sounds great and I would like to test and use it in Europe as well!

Geotagging with ZoneTag

Apr 05, 2007 in flickr, location, software

ZoneTag Feature

ZoneTag is a software for your phone developed by YAHOO! Research to upload photos to flickr straight from your phone.
This wouldn’t be something to mention but ZoneTag also supports geotagging. Which a GPS-enabled device your photos are tagged with the location of your current position and will be positioned on the photo-map within flickr.

Great idea for your next trip.
